Kennon “Ken” D. Huntsman (October 29, 1931 – November 26, 2011)

Kennon “Ken†D. Huntsman, 80, of Zanesville, passed away at 1:49 PM Saturday November 26, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital ER.
He was born October 29, 1931 in Somerton the son of the late Joseph L. Huntsman and Esther Lynn Huntsman Hendershot. He graduated from Quaker City High School and worked for RCA, Xerox, NCR, was plant manager for Keene Corporation in Vienna, WV and retired as a salesman for Prudential Insurance. Ken was a member of First Christian Church, an Eagle Scout, and refereed basketball for several years, active in youth sports programs, enjoying all sports and watching the sports channels. His pride and joy was being with his family, wife, children and grandchildren
Ken is survived by his wife Velma (Johnson) Huntsman, daughters: Diane (Fred) Mottice of Hilliard, Deb Huntsman (Joe Pendleton) of Kent, Vicki Huntsman (Dan Givens) of Freeport and Valerie (Ed) Clewell of Cambridge, son: Scott Huntsman (Misty Roese) of Hilliard, grandchildren: Amy (Randy) Chase, Emily (Jeremy) Weller, Erin Whitis, Whitney Whitis, Eli Hothem, Ashley (Max Pusz) Hothem, Andrea Hothem, Brian Pendleton, Cortney (Beth) Clewell, Chris (Katie) Clewell and Cristin (Zack) Canter,9 great grandchildren, step-daughter: Diane Abrams of Arnold, MD, step-grandchildren: Jamie (Brian) Selzer and Heather Abrams, 5 step-great grandchildren, mother-in-law: Eloise Johnson of Zanesville, sisters: Nina Dearth of Gahanna, Hilda (Floyd) Miller of Quaker City, Joan Sramcik of Gahanna and Hazel Koernke of Grayling Mich., step-brother: Robert Hendershot and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters: Irene Geisey, Edna Phillips, Mabel Wysecarver and brother: Victor Huntsman.
Visitation for Ken will be 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 Tuesday November 29, 2011 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday November 30, 2011 with Pastor Dawn Remster officiating. Committal service will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Mausoleum.
