Kevin Watson
Kevin R. Watson age 67 of Caldwell, OH passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born June 9, 1957 in Cambridge, OH son of the late Marilyn E. Pitts Watson and Raymond E. Watson.
He was a 1975 Graduate of Caldwell High School where he wrestled, ran cross country, and track. Kevin was proud to have been a member of the 1973 State Champion Cross Country team from Caldwell. He retired from R.C. Moore Lumber in Caldwell, following 32 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, was a great cook, and had a soft spot for dogs. Many will recall seeing him buzz up and down the streets of Caldwell on his yellow scooter. Kevin was knowledgeable on many subjects and often enjoyed sharing his opinions. He couldn’t have been a prouder father of his two daughters and grandchildren. Kevin reveled in watching his daughter’s success in life and his grandchildren’s success in athletics and academics. He will be remembered as someone who was passionate about his music, especially anything from the 70’s.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Athel and Mary Rossiter Pitts and paternal grandparents James and Martha King Watson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Abby (Matthew) Davis of Caldwell and Audrey (Kyle) Cordray of Cumberland, OH; grandchildren Braxton Dudley, Harper and Charlotte Davis, Finn, Oliver, and McCoy Cordray; sister Wendy (Rick) Blassingame and nephew Derrick Blassingame all of Orange Park, FL; aunts Donna Sesterhenn and Nancy Finley both of Caldwell; mother of his children Madeline Danford of Caldwell.
The family will receive friends for memorial visitation Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A memorial service will conclude visitation Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 4:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Stephen Hannum officiating. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
