Kindness Rock Project

NASHPORT, Ohio- A local company is rocking its way to spreading kindness at local schools.
Lones Stone and Landscape Supply are donating up to 50 rocks per class at any Muskingum County school. Kids will paint the rocks, which will remind themselves and others to be kind to one another.
“They randomly place the rocks around the community, and we’ve had people put them here too. When you see somebody pick a rock like that up, it just puts a smile on your face. So any time that we can do that, the happier we can keep our community of people, the better it’s going to be,” said Owner Mike Lones.
Schools participating will receive their rocks over the next few weeks. Each class that participants will have a chance to win a pizza party.
“We’ll just put all the names of the schools in a hat, and then we’ll just pull one out. We’ll let the teacher know who won. It will be fun to see how many they get around the community and how much people we’ll see,” said Lones.
If a class would like to be part of the Kindness Rocks Project Initiative, you can contact Lones Stone and Landscape Supply at 740-455-9575.
