Kip Stine

Stine Kip Pic

Kip Joseph Stine, 59, of Cumberland – beloved son, brother, boyfriend, father, and papaw – was called home to be with our Lord the morning of May 26, 2024.

He was born March 14, 1965 to Thomas J. Stine and Dixie L. (Debolt) Baughman in Zanesville. He attended John Glenn High School.

Kip dedicated his life to his family, homesteading, gardening, his farm, and many animals (including his two dogs, Jack and Jill). He was a carpenter, woodworker, logger, handyman, and Jack-of-all-trades. He was an avid outdoorsman. He felt the most at home and the closest to God when he was out in the woods.

Kip was the kindest, funniest, most selfless person you would ever meet. He would give you the shirt off his back, even if it was his last one. He was a kid at heart and found the humor in everything. Even in the darkest and saddest moments, he could make you laugh.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We know he is at peace and we will be reunited with him one day in Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, William J. Stine; his step-sister, Susan Starcher; his grandparents, Ruby Debolt and William & Mary Stine; and his uncle, Tim Scholl.

Kip is survived by his father, Thomas J. Stine; his mother, Dixie L. Baughman; his three daughters and sons-in-law, Josie and Thomas Allen, Jaden and Matt Wright, and Kaci and Ray Chait; his companion of four years, Jackie Hannan and her amazing family that treated him like their own; his six grandchildren whom he adored, Jensen, Dane, Brylee, Tripp, Brooke, and Autumn Rose – who is expected to arrive in September; his siblings, Scott and Beth Ann Stine and Missi and John Nichols; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday (June 1, 2024) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
