ZANESVILLE, OH – It’s that time of year again! The Kiwanis Club’s famous peanut sale is returning to downtown Zanesville.

Kiwanians Club members will be out on the streets of downtown Zanesville on October 10th and 11th for the club’s annual street sale. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., volunteers will be stationed on the corners of Main and Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Streets, offering peanuts in exchange for donations.

“We just ask for a donation. Drivers can dig into their wallets, get a few bills or a handful of change, and we ‘ll give them some peanuts.” Kiwanis Secretary, Kevin Pinson said.

Proceeds from the sale help fund community service projects throughout the year, including the annual Christmas party for children, the Old Glory Flag Replacement Initiative, the sponsorship of high school Key Clubs, and much more.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It really helps with our operations and to give back funds to the community. We sponsor five high school Key Clubs, we’re organizing a Builders Club which is the middle school version of the Key Club at Zanesville Middle School, and this helps us to support and sponsor them as well.” Pinson said.
