Lab-Terrier Mix, our WHIZ / Animal Shelter Society ‘Pet of the Week’

Petofweek Littleman

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Tonight we introduce you to a black lab-terrier mix. He’s our WHIZ Animal Shelter Society “Pet of the Week”.

He’s energetic, playful, with no known medical issues.

“This is Little Man. He came to the shelter by way of the pound. His sister actually came and his sister has been adopted so far, but Little Man has taken just a little bit longer to come out of his shell, but I’m telling you, I’ve spent the past twenty or thirty minutes with him and he’s already, as you can see, already pretty well taken a liking to me and he really warms up,” says Beau Moyer, Animal Shelter Society Board Member.

The adoption fee for Little Man is under $150. Also, the Animal Shelter Society is planning “Yappy Hour”, an event to raise money.

“It’s a big fundraiser for the Animal Shelter here, it goes to helping guys like Little Man here. It is on April 2nd, Thursday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be four featured chefs there, food and beverages and live auction as well. We’re constantly looking for sponsors for that event as well as live auction items. Tickets are sold right here at the Animal Shelter, as well as if you approach any of the board members or staff, they can get you a ticket to the event,” Moyer adds.

You can adopt Little Man or any other pet up for adoption at the Animal Shelter Society by visiting their location on Newark Road, just west of Zanesville. They’re across from the O-U-Z Zane State campus.
