Lady Lancers advance to state title game

AKRON, Ohio – The Lakewood Lady Lancers defeated Jonathan Alder 14-6 to advance to the OHSAA Division II state championship game.

The Lady Pioneers scored a run early in the first inning, but Lakewood exploded for seven runs in the third to take a commanding 7-1 lead.

Lakewood will face Archbishop Hoban Saturday night, looking for back-to-back state championships.
