Langdon Jade Thomas, 1995 – 2020

Langdon Jade Thomas, 24 of Midland, TX, formerly of Zanesville, died Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born February 25, 1995, in Zanesville, the daughter of Chase Thomas and Joie (Davis) Brown.
Langdon was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church where she served as altar server. She graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School where she excelled in Academics and was a member of the National Honor Society. Langdon was lead attorney for Rosecrans High School Mock Trial Team and was class historian.
Langdon was a very accomplished athlete lettering in volleyball, soccer and basketball, and attended Buckeye Girls State. Langdon was the recipient of many scholarships and awards including the Julie Poland Scholarship.
Langdon was also a graduate of Bowling Green University where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Above all Langdon was a people person who never met a stranger, and was very passionate about human rights. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; her hobbies were hair and makeup, and she loved to make other people look and feel beautiful. Langdon was employed with Home Depot both in Ohio and Texas.
Langdon is survived by her parents: Joie & Horace Brown and Chase & Tanya Thomas; grandparents: Nancy & Jim Arnold, Joe & Margie Davis and Steve (Mary Ann Shell) Thomas; her great grandmother: Glenna Thomas; siblings: Chance Thomas, Landon, Alexis & David Czarnecki; aunts and uncles: Ryan & Traci Thomas; Jennifer Davis, Jaclyn & Rick Hutchins, Jimmy Arnold, Missy Arnold, Kim & Ed Ansel, Jeff Shawger, John & Bonnie Shawger, Jim & Marge Shawger, Mike Shawger, Tom & Tara Shawger, Susan Baltzer, Molly & Bob Haslam, Stephanie & Jeff Brown, Linton & Anne Lewis, Linda Williams and John & Jennifer Lewis; special aunt: Dee Dee Dodson; special friend: Matt Dent; many, many cousins and a host of friends.
Langdon was preceded in death by one aunt: Kathy Shawger, one uncle: Ed Williams; her great grandparents: Dick Shawger & June Shawger-Fountain, Jim Fountain and Chuck Thomas.
Friends may call Sunday, January 12, 2020, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where a Christian Vigil will be held at 7:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Monday, January 13, 2020, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 955 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as Celebrant. Langdon will be laid to rest in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
