Lanny William Sorenson (September 26, 1953 – October 23, 2012)

Lanny William Sorenson, 59, of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born September 26, 1953, in Zanesville, a son of the late Henry and Ellen Aldred Sorenson. He was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church and liked to fish and draw.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Kennedy Sorenson of the home; four sons, William Greiner, Michael (Tiffany) Greiner, Richard (Stacy) Greiner and Jeremy Sorenson; two daughters, Elizabeth Sorenson and Tonya Couch; two foster children, Kenny Tatman and John Thompson; three brothers, Rocky Church, David (Darlene) Church and Jonathan Church; four sisters, Carol (Keith) Edwards, Jeannie Sorenson, Billy (Ronald) McCormick and Jackie Church; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Pitz; two brothers, Tim and Jim Church; two nephews, Christopher McHenry and Cooper Dunn; Bill and Louise Church.

Friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE with Rev. Donald Rowland officiating. Lanny will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
