Large and Dangerous Tornado Hits near Dayton

A “large and dangerous” tornado hit in the Dayton area late Monday. The Ohio Department of Transportation says its using snow plows to remove debris off southbound I-75, trying to get the highway reopened. The National Weather Service confirmed that the twister hit near Trotwood, outside Dayton. Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck is asking people to stay off the roads in area affected by this storm. His office said many roads in those area are impassable because of damage. Sheriff Streck says Northridge High School has been opened as an emergency shelter. In Dayton. Another suspected tornado near Vandalia crossed the pat of the first tornado lifting debris in the area.
