Laura Zelda Kirkbride (October 31, 1922 – July 24, 2012)

Laura Zelda Kirkbride, 89, of Nashport, passed away at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born October 31, 1922, in Noble County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Violet Rose Hague Bates.

Surviving are two sons, Russell (Eleanor) Kirkbride of Bellefontaine, OH and Alan Kirkbride of Columbus, OH; her devoted daughter, Kathy (Terry) King of Nashport; four grandchildren, Jennifer Green, Susanna (Harry) Vilaysane, David (Rebecca) King and Kevin (Kim Chi Dao) King; and four great grandchildren, Beckett, Nettie and Ella Vilaysane and Gunner King.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kirkbride, who passed away in 1988; five sisters, Leona Daly, Opal Daly, Mary Oliver, Lucille Fairall and Louella Clark; and two brothers, Gilman and Wayne Bates.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Dunn officiating. Laura will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
