Lawrence Harding

Lawrence Lee Harding, 97, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (September 7, 2026) at his home.

He was born July 3, 1929 in Senecaville, son of the late Clifford O. Harding and Mary (Yoho) Harding.

A graduate of Senecaville High School, Lawrence retired from Columbia Gas in 1984. He was a member of the VFW, the Masons, and the Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed hunting, reading, and golfing. Most notably, he proudly recorded his first “hole-in-one” at the young age of 86! He cherished the company of his great-grandchildren, great-great-nieces & great-great-nephews.

Lawrence was a US Army veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.

He was a member of the Senecaville United Methodist Church and the Old Concord Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie L. (Dollison) Harding, who passed away August 26, 2009. They were married on May 25, 1958. Also deceased are two brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by a stepson, Billy Joe (& Michele) Brown of Byesville; three grandchildren: Timothy Gerdau, Trisha Masters, and Bobbi Salters; several nieces and nephews, including his niece, Courtney (& Josh) Seeley and their children, Chase, Cale, Carter, and Kathryn; and his nephew, Trent (& Jalena) Lasko and their children, Linzee and Trace; his special friend, Janice Jackson; his good friend, Dale Hughes; and the entire Harding family including the families of the Corwin’s, Doan’s, Dye’s, Endly’s, Heady’s, Kovacs’, Lasko’s, Miller’s, Smith’s, and Stewart’s.

Visitation will be held Friday (September 11, 2026) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Parsons officiating.

Burial will be at Senecaville Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
