Leadership Muskingum Kicks Off New Year

Leadership Muskingum is kicking off another year, with 20 new students from all different professions.

The class meets once a month for a nine month period.

“We hope that they learn more about Muskingum County and that they become servant leaders in the community, ” says Pro-Muskingum Families and Children First Executive Director, Kathy McLeish.

Leadership Muskingum also presented the Chuck Hunter Community Leadership Award Scholarship to one lucky student.

“We honored Lisa King. So, Lisa is the CEO of Muskingum Valley Health Center, and she was able to step in at a very difficult time, when Chuck passed away. So, we’re proud that this plaque will now hang in the Muskingum Valley Health Center, ” says McLeish.

Former Muskingum County Commissioner, Dorthy Montgomery, was the first recipient of the scholarship. It was presented to Montgomery last year.
