Leah Schuhart Takes the Crown as Ohio Fairs’ Queen

ZANESVILLE, OH – Ohio Fairs have a new reigning queen, and it’s none other than Leah Schuhart from Muskingum County.
Leah’s early life on her family’s farm instilled in her a deep appreciation for agriculture. Her active participation in FFA and 4-H, showcasing hogs, laid a strong foundation for her understanding and love of farming. Leah won the hearts of the judges and fair goers with her cheerful demeanor and genuine passion for Ohio’s agricultural community.
“It means a lot. This is super cool. While growing up and being at fairs, we always hear about the Ohio State Fair Queen and she’s like a celebrity to young ag kids. It’s great to have the opportunity to take on that role. I’m really excited to have the opportunity to make some new connections and meet some new people.” Ohio Fairs’ Queen, Leah Schuhart said.
As the new face of the Ohio Fairs, Leah’s role extends beyond the crown. She will be actively involved in promoting the fair, emphasizing the importance of agricultural education, and visiting other county fairs across the state.
“The number one thing that I want to do while I have this title is to spread information about agriculture and to really be an advocate for agriculture. My one goal that I’m hoping to accomplish is highlighting some local agriculturists, farms and feed mills. I would like to get involved with some agricultural lobbyists, really just highlight different aspects of agriculture,” Schuhart said.
Leah said she is beyond excited to spend this year doing what she loves most.
