Legislative Breakfast at Eaglesticks

Tilton Breakfast

Local and State Lawmakers get up close and personal with local business owners and others in the community.

The annual Legislative Breakfast hosted by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce and AT&T  is currently underway at Eaglesticks Golf Club.

Representative Brian Hill, Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton, Muskingum County Commissioner Jim Porter and State Senator Troy Balderson are all in attendance.

Balderson spoke Friday morning on how hunting and fishing reforms are spurring tourism in the area.

“We are going to reform the hunting and licensure, how we do that,” explained Balderson. “We are going to establish a three year license, a five year license, a ten-year license. We’re talking about adding a lifetime option.”

Balderson said the lifetime option though he admits there is some drawbacks to that, but they will discuss it.

Hearings on the bill begin next week.

We’ll have more on the legislative breakfast on the WHIZ News at 6.
