“You cant participate in the modern economy, health care, education system without access to high speed internet. So Governor DeWine and I just finished a round of funding for high speed internet expansion throughout southern, eastern and southeastern Ohio. And we’re going to spread high speed internet to 240,000 people who previously didn’t have it. ” He said.

The Lt. Governor says the hope is for people to have access to mental health and educational resources.
He says that the use of broadband will positively influence the lives of Ohioans in all places of the state.
“Its giving people the chance to live their version of the American dream by being connected to it. And a lot of cases today, that dream is not available if you’re not connected,” he stated.
Lower income households will be getting service for little to now cost if they qualify.
The installation of broadband will also create jobs and will be targeted for the next two years.
