Lena Charlene Fannin went to reside in the house of the Lord on January 25, 2025. Charlene passed in her home surrounded by her loving family, peacefully and comfortably.

Charlene was born February 26, 1958 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Norman Hudson & Irene Bates.

She leaves behind the ones she loves: her husband, John D Fannin II; her daughter, Angela Hanzey (Scott Jones); her son, Cody Dilley (Cassie Dilley); her daughter, Jennifer Pennington; her sisters, Lori Wilson & Martina Cargill, her brothers Tom Hudson & Mike Hudson; her grandchildren, Ethan Helton, Amelia Hanzey, Kyla Dilley, Cayden Orr, and Gage Orr; her nieces and nephews, Ty Sexton (Shari)(Clara and Adam) and Kassie Sexton (Bree, Kenzie, Zoee); her step-children, Nicole Watson (Arzy), Shree Fannin, Jacy Fannin (Talia Hill), John David Fannin III deceased and daughter-in-law, Heather Fannin; and her step-grandchildren, Jimmy Runyon, Timmy Runyon, Carrie Bickford, Christopher Hupp, Shaylen Ludwig, Marannda Fannin, Chloe Fannin and Wesley Fannin.

Charlene attended Byesville Bible Baptist Church. She was Christian in Faith and loved the Lord dearly. Her Church family and friendships meant the world to her. She instilled her beliefs in the Lord to her family with love & grace.

Charlene was a testament of strength & grace during her battle with Cancer. She loved her family, children and grandchildren immensely. It takes a village to raise children & we were blessed to have her help and love to raise her grandchildren. She is a shining light to her family, she held such strength & has one of the most beautiful souls. Her kindness and giving heart to family and friends will always be held dear.

Char enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, camping trips, camp fires, kayaking, the ocean & sunsets. The memories and moments, her humor and laughter are forever cherished and celebrated forever more. This is not goodbye, we will see you in sunsets and with morning coffee & all of the special places you held dear. Until we meet again.

Visitation will be held Thursday (January 30, 2025) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Byesville Bible Baptist Church where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Leathley officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
