Leonard Lee Besser, 49, of Pershing Road, Zanesville passed away at 7:35 pm February 2, 2012 at his residence.

Leonard was born March 13, 1962 in Zanesville the son of Della L. (Harper) Schriner of Norwich and the late James N. Besser. He worked as a Janitor at the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.

He is survived by his son Leonard A. Besser Jr.; his daughters Sara Tyo, Amy Besser, Christina Besser and Sara Bourassa; two brothers Michael Besser and Timothy Besser; a sister Tammy Besser; two half-sisters Melissa Grant and Marsha Bossert and several grandchildren.

Leonard is preceded in death by his father and a sister Cindy Besser.

In keeping with Leonards wishes his body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
