Leslie Bunton

Leslie Bunton, 45, of Byesville, passed away Friday (June 19, 2026) at her home after a long battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).

She was born December 3, 1980 in Toledo, daughter of Leslie Robinson and Diane (Fetzer) Robinson.

Leslie earned a double Associate’s degree from Zane State and was working towards a Bachelor’s degree. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Genesis and OhioHealth and for several years as an STNA. She loved working in the health care industry.

Leslie was very involved with her skunk rescue – she loved skunks, especially her pet skunk, Pepé LePew. She also enjoyed making costumes for the Renaissance festivals.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William D. and Betty Jane Robinson; and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Donna Fetzer Sr.

Leslie is survived by her parents, Leslie and Diane Robinson of Byesville; her significant other of several years, David Sigman of the home; her three sons: Chris Bunton (& Khloé Dingus), Robert Bunton (& Madison Campbell), and Vincent Robinson (& Delaney Moore); her three brothers, David E. Robinson, Charles (& Courtney) Robinson; and Michael (& Tiffany) Fries; and W.D., whom she thought of as a brother; her two dearly loved grandchildren, Octavia Robinson Blackwing and Remy “Bean” Bunton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and her best friend and caregiver, Myranda Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the nurses for the compassionate care they provided Leslie during her illness.

No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.

As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Leslie’s name be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
