Let’s “Walk with a Twist”
Saturday was the 5th annual ‘Walk with a Twist’ in honor of Danny Fraunfelter, who passed away from Sarcoma.
The walk primarily started at Fair Oaks Baptist Church, but that is not the only place people could have participated. Co-founder of Walk with a Twist, Jim Fraunfelter, said the twist in this walk is that anyone and everyone can walk where ever they can.
“We had numerous people walking the first year in California, in Kansas, in nursing homes,” said Fraunfelter. “So rather than being in a central location where you have to walk and get done you can walk anywhere.”
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised through ‘Walk with a Twist’ will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to help care for the boys and girls.
“You donate the money to them and it goes strictly to the kids and the kids are our future and that’s what we’re looking for to try to hopefully get a cure for the boys and girls,” Fraunfelter said.
