Lewis Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Charges
A Zanesville man facing sex charges involving a minor under 10 years of age entered his plea in court Wednesday.
William Lewis, 50, appeared before Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill for his arraignment and pled not guilty to all charges. Those charges include four counts of rape, eight counts of gross sexual imposition, and one count of endangering children. The first count of rape carries with it a life sentence if convicted.
Prosecutor Mike Haddox says the alleged incident occurred to one victim between January 1st of 2013 and May 25th of 2014. Cottrill continued bond as set at $500,000.
