Library Offers New Service

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Library System is beginning a new outreach and home drop off program.
The Housecall Delivery System looks to deliver books, music and DVDs to the people of Muskingum county. It is all part of the library’s outreach services program.
“Outreach services has become a growing service within many libraries in Ohio and across the nation. It is a way to receive materials if you can’t come to us. Especially now, during the pandemic that we’re in, many people cannot get to tus. Do not feel comfortable coming into our locations. So we want to service our community by bringing materials to you.”, outreach coordinator Beth Brown told WHIZ.
Like all library programs the Housecall Delivery System is designed for ease of use. There will be no late fees attached to the program.
“All you have to do is pick up the phone, give us a call, and we’ll bring services right to you. We are currently doing porch drops because of the COVID restrictions, so we aren’t coming in contact with you. We will just leave the materials on your doorstep or wherever you would like them, and then we will come back in for weeks and pick them back up.”, Brown continued.
More Information on this program as well as the other library programs can be found on their website.
