Licking Co. Deputies Injured in Accident

Two Licking County Sheriff’s Deputies were injured in an accident Friday night.

Sheriff Randy Thorp said that the deputies were investigating a motor vehicle crash around 11:45pm in the 8700 block of Purity Road NE in St. Louisville when the accident took place.

Sheriff Thorp said deputies Jessica Green and Sean Corley were in their cruisers when they were struck by a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Raymond Snyder of St. Louisville.

Deputies Green and Corley were taken to Licking Memorial Hospital where they were treated for their injuries and released.

Authorities said Snyder was arrested and is being held in the Licking County Jail on operating a vehicle under the influence and aggravated vehicular assault. Other charges could be filed.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
