Licking County Motorcyclist Killed in Accident

Licking County- A motorcycle crash has claimed the life of a Newark man.

The accident took place around 6:05a.m Wednesday morning on County Road 668 near County Road 315. The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol said 22-year-old Dylan McPherson was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide northbound on County Road 668 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned. Authorities said he was pronounced deceased at the scene and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Township Fire Department, Licking County Highway Department, and Licking County Coroner.

The crash remains under investigation.
