Lieutenant Gov. Mary Taylor Stops in Zanesville

Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor made a stop in the Y-City Thursday.

Taylor addressed members of the Community Bankers Association of Ohio at the Zanesville Country Club. One of her key topics was Ohio’s Common Sense Initiative, an initiative to reform business regulations in the state.

"We want to make sure we have a transparent process that includes stakeholders earlier on in the process. We want to make sure we’re hearing from our small business and that we understand as a state agency as proposing a new rule or new law that we have a full understanding of how that rule or law will impact our small business," said Taylor.

We also caught up with the Lieutenant Governor on southeast Ohio job creation, specifically the Utica Shale and Marcellus Developments and the economic boom it’s expected to bring.

"But if you think about really any business regulation, it’s going to impact businesses all over the state of Ohio," said Taylor.

Taylor says her as well as Governor Kasich’s goal is to make Ohio a business friendly state.
