Toms And Zane State

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zane State College is celebrating their 50th anniversary in a sweet way and you will have 365 days see for yourself.

Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl is honoring Zane State’s 50 years of service by having a signature flavor in their honor. “Monado’s Fudge Claws and Peanut Butter Paws” will be available until September of 2019. President, Chad Brown, said he hopes this will show the community the impact Zane State has all around the area.

“I don’t know that they’ve done this before, it means a lot. It really means that we’re all coming together as a community to celebrate the betterment of the place that we all live and work,” Brown said.

Commissioners Cindy Cameron and Mollie Crooks joined Mayor Jeff Tilton in tasting the first bite of the new flavor. Board of Trustees member, Geraldine Zylinski, said they were looking for a unique way to celebrate their 50th year and were grateful Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl agreed to partner with them.

“We wanted to give back to the community in different ways and people are going to be talking about Zane State for the next year. I think they’ll miss this flavor after it’s gone next September,” Zylinski said.

Brown and Zylinski said they have some exciting events planned for the rest of their 50th anniversary.
