Linda Crooks

Linda L. Crooks, 65 of Zanesville, died 9:50 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Clay Gardens Place in Zanesville, following a very long and courageous battle with lupus, polycystic kidney disease, and heart disease. She was born Monday, August 3, 1959, in Zanesville, the daughter of William Crooks, Sr. and Juanita (Eppley) Crooks.
Linda was a 1977 graduate of Philo High School, and received her degrees from MATC (Zane State) and the University of Findlay. She was employed with Cesco, Columbia Cement and retired from A K Steel in 2015 following many years of service. Linda in her spare time enjoyed playing softball and golf. Later in life she enjoyed going to dinner with her “bowling girls” and attending “Old People’s Night” dinners.
Linda is survived by her niece, Traci (Bryon) Hina; a great nephew, Logan Hina; and special friends that Linda considered family, Karen & Dan Vincent, Karen & Nick Berelsman, Patti & Mike Roberts, Nancy & Paul Ragias and Barbara Dailey.
In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Bobbi Crooks, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Mary Eppley; a nephew, Troy Kirkbride and special friends she considered family, Freda & Jerry Bates, Lynn Wolfe and Wanda Hagley.
Linda would like to thank her caregivers at Clay Gardens Place, for the love and care they provided during her illness, “at the home”.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday at the funeral home with Pat Donnelly officiating. Linda will be laid to rest with her father in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The National Kidney Foundation or the Lupus Foundation of America in Linda’s memory.
