Linda Jones
Linda L. Jones went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born September 13, 1944, in Zanesville, a daughter to the late James McBride and Rosella Harrier. She was a dedicated member of Maranatha Bible Church and the office manager at Zanesville Christian School for over 40 years. Linda truly had a servant’s heart she lived a godly life and was generous with everything she owned never holding onto anything long before she gave it away. Linda’s sole focus in life was her love of the Lord, she will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Linda and Don were prayer warriors for everyone they crossed paths with even through their own dark times they cherished their relationship with the Lord. (I Thessolonians 5: 16-18) Linda Truly embodied the “Virtuous Woman” (Proverbs 31: 10-31). She was a blessing not only to her family but also to everyone who crossed her path.
She is survived by two children, Donald (Maria) Jones and Samantha (Mark) Stotts; three grandchildren, Belinda Jones, Seth Stotts, and Markette Stotts; brothers, Donnie (Laura) McBride and Lea McBride; sisters, Joan Dinan and Connie (Barry) Smith; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Jones; brother-in-law, Mark Whiteside; Paul and Annette VanHorn; Debbie and Bob Sasser; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by the love of her life Donald E. Jones who passed away on September 5, 2025; two children, John William and Belinda Lea; siblings, Maybell (Rance) Best; Jim McBride and Bonnie Whiteside.
Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Linda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Donald at the Chandlersville Cemetery.
