Linda Potts

Linda Lou (Beggs) Potts, 84, of Senecaville, passed away at her home on Wednesday (May 7, 2025).

She was born July 24, 1940 in Antrim, daughter of the late Charles Beggs and Stella (Marling) Beggs.

A 1958 graduate of Madison High School, Linda retired in 1999 from AEP – Columbus. She had worked in the credit and collections department for many years.

She was an active member of the Senecaville Presbyterian Church.

Linda loved spending time on Seneca Lake with her family and friends, so much so that she and her husband, Don, made the lake their permanent home in 2014. She enjoyed traveling, eating Mexican food, and collecting spoons as well as frog figurines. Linda was a fan of college sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a dog lover, too.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Potts, who passed away July 17, 2024. They were married on August 18, 1962. Also deceased is a grandson, Donnie Dean Potts; and a sister, Carol Neuhart.

Linda is survived by two sons, Bob Potts (Veronica) and Jeff Potts (Tammy); three grandchildren, Lindsay Marto (Johnny), Morgan Bumpus (Collin), and Mitchell Potts (Maddie); five step-grandchildren, Brandon Arkle (Natalie), Emily Tibu (Kelvin), Austin Umstattd, Anthony Umstattd, and Aiden Umstattd; two great-granddaughters, Riley Potts and Esther Tibu; a great-grandson, Jackson Arkle; a step-great-grandson, Izaac Marto; and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (May 13, 2025) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, is handling arrangements.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.

As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Linda’s name be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
