Linda Scrapchansky

Linda Kay Scrapchansky, 72, formerly of Buffalo, passed away Tuesday (July 9, 2024) at Altercare of Cambridge.

She was born October 12, 1951 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Emil Scrapchansky and Shirley (Todd) Scrapchansky Stillion.

A 1969 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Linda worked as a waitress at Denny’s for many years. While living in Florida, she owned her restaurant and also painted high-end homes in Florida.

She enjoyed watching old Western movies, cooking, and shopping. Most of all she loved her family and her sweet dog, Baby Doll.

Linda will live on in our hearts forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Richard Stillion; her son, Scottie; and two brothers, Bobby and Steve Scrapchansky.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Jackie Lynn McJessy of Buffalo; her son, Brian Carpenter of Cambridge; four sisters, Sylvia (& Mark) Grewell of New Philadelphia, Karen Kirk of Byesville, Carla Weiss of Buffalo, and Ruth Ann (& Bill) Arnold of Cambridge; and several nieces, nephews, & cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.
