Little Caesar’s Cooks up Love with Christ’s Table

Those looking for a hot lunch at Christ’s Table were in for a warm and cheesy surprise Wednesday.

Little Caesar’s pizza filled the lunch line all made in their ‘Love Kitchen’ parked behind Christ’s Table for the day. Driver of the east coast Love Kitchen Jeff O’ Meara said that he’s been driving from stop to stop feeding those in need for two years and it’s rewarding to see people happier with the small favor.

“You got a lot of people that are down on their luck and just having a hard time and to me pizza is a special treat and it kind of gives them a little extra hope that day and a smile on their face,” said O’ Meara.

One hundred pizzas got ‘hot and ready’ in classic Little Caesars fashion. Local Little Caesars employees climbed aboard the Love Kitchen to lend a hand, making four workers total cooking up the pepperoni treats. Executive Director of Christ’s Table Keely Warden said that seeing the community’s reaction to a special lunch was the best part.

“We kind of kept this a secret,” said Warden. “We didn’t let anyone know we were doing it so to see little eyes brightening up when they walk through the door and the smell. I mean you can smell it all over downtown Zanesville. It smells so great so it’s just been great and so many thankful people have come up and said ‘thank you so much’.”

The Love Kitchen is headed to the Salvation Army in Millfield, Ohio next.
