Live Power Lines Down After Hit and Run

 A hit and run accident left live power lines down on Putnam Ave. Wednesday afternoon.

Patrolman Derek Shilling with the Zanesville Police Department said a white male with a beard was driving a silver SUV northbound on Putnam went left of center off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

After the vehicle struck the support of the pole, causing heavy front end damage, the driver continued northbound on 6th St. across the 6th St. bridge. Police followed a fluid trail all the way to Riesbeck’s on Howard St. where they lost sight of the car.
