Local Adventurer Gets Hearing Upgrade Before Next Trek
ZANESVILLE, OH – One local woman has a new lease on life with a new set of hearing aids.
Joy Ryan, better known as Grandma Joy, has been traveling the world with her grandson Brad and so far she’s been to 5 of the 7 continents and visited all 63 national parks.
She was having fun with her grandson but wanted to hear the world just a little bit better for their next trip, so they made a pitstop at Norvell’s Hearing Aid Center.
“You don’t have to adjust anything, they kind of go up and down as they are supposed to, if there’s a lot of noise or by yourself. The other ones I had, I couldn’t hear out of them but these I can hear. We’re going to go to Ireland and then we’re going to go to India, so I’ll be able to hear if a tiger is creeping up on me and I can get out of the way.” Grandma Joy said. “Rory’s great, he’s always pleasant and always answers your questions.”
Rory Gamble, a Hearing Instrument Specialist at Norvell’s, says Grandma Joy has been a patient of theirs for years and is thrilled to be a part of her next journey.
“That’s one of the good things about my position here, that it’s pretty rewarding.” Gamble said. “You know, to see someone that may just not stray too far away from home or somebody that’s been to Antarctica, it’s pretty rewarding to see that they’re hearing the best that they can in those places. We’ve been really blessed to work with different partners, different manufacturers of hearing aids, Like GN ReSound, and all the other manufacturers as well but having good relationships with them has been really important to make sure that they can provide good quality support for our private practice to make sure that she’s doing the best she can.”
We wish you safe travels and journeys on your next big adventure Grandma Joy!
