Local Attorney Wins Super Tuesday Election
A Zanesville attorney wins big in Tuesday’s primary…
Jeanette Moll took the Republican victory in the race for the 5th District Court of Appeals, 69 to 31 percent over Flite Freimann. Moll said this is a big opportunity for her, to be able to bring a small town perspective to the Court of Appeals.
"I was on the bench as a magistrate in Guernsey County for about 10 years, and heard a variety of cases, everything from class actions, to criminal bonds and arraignments, to stalking protection orders," said Moll.
Moll practices primarily in Muskingum County. The 5th district is the largest Court of Appeals district in the Buckeye State, with about 1.5 million people. Moll said she’s enjoying the victory, but now she’s thinking ahead to the next race.
"We had a great win last night, but I think there’s just really so many people that I need to be able to get my message out, they need to know who I am, they need to know what my background is, so that I can bring them to the polls in November and that they’ll feel comfortable that I’ll be able to sit on the bench and make the decisions that they’re comfortable with and that are right for this district."
Moll will face Democrat Patricia Delaney in the November election.
