ZANESVILLE, OH – A local author has just released his new book called “The Bridge Between Two Rivers.”

Hawke Smith, who writes under the name Ahnzerah Hawke, said his new book is about choices and how they can affect those around you.

Hawke said he chose the iconic Y-Bridge here in Zanesville to help symbolize life’s crossroads.

“It doesn’t matter which way you’re going, there’s still two ways you can turn.” Hawke said. “So you could be going down a bad road but you can always choose a good road too. It’s also a coming of age story.”

This book is the second in his series “Ghosts Never Die” and Hawke said he is already busy at work on the third book.

He said the third book is set to take place in 1939 Zanesville with the main character being a broken hearted shoe-shiner who has bigger dreams.

Hawke also provided some words of encouragement for those who want to be an author themselves one day.

“They should definitely take what they have on the inside and give it to other people.” Hawke said. “It’s like a gift you know, and it’s honest and true. I mean you can always make up a story but to base it off your own experiences, it comes across more. It just speaks to people.”

If you’d like to read “The Bridge Between Two Rivers” for yourself, you can find it on Amazon.
