Local Business honored for Community Support

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business was honored for their work in the community.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is honoring American Pride Power for their flag and continued support in cleaning on and off ramps in Zanesville. Vice Regent of the Muskingum County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Mary Ann DeVolld, explains the award comes from a new initiative to honor local heroes.
“We honored him with the display of the flag with a national certificate and then we have started something new where we are trying to thank everyday heroes in our community for the small things that they do to make Zanesville a better place and Muskingum County a better place to live.”
Owner of American Pride Power, Ryan Dodson, hopes the award comes not as a recognition but an example for other young entrepreneurs.
“Honestly its quite an honor and we appreciate them stopping by but recognition is definitely not what it’s about at all. It’s just about being a part of the community and a good steward and good citizen and an example for other young businesses men coming up and the right thing to do wherever they end up.”
The award-winning 140 foot tall flag can be viewed at American Pride Power at 700 McIntire Avenue in Zanesville.
