Local business looks to expand operations

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business is expanding its operations to better serve its customers.
JD Equipment on Northpointe Drive plans on breaking ground on a new facility this spring. The 12,000 square foot facility will be located behind the current facility the business is working out of. Chad Spiker, owner and store manager, said the new facility will help them better serve the local community.
“Currently this facility houses all three departments: parts, service, and sales. We’re going to move our service department into the new facility once it’s completed. And that’ll give us room to expand our parts department and sales department,” said Spiker.
Spiker said business has been good and that’s part of the reason why they are able to expand.
“We’ve continued to grow every year fortunately and we just need more space to house our employees and to keep up with our growing business. We’ll add a minimum – projected minimum – of six jobs, hopefully more. Right now that’s what it looks like, six,” said Spiker.
Spiker said the store will remain open as usual during the expansion project.
