Local Businesses Team Up to Provide Free Mammograms for Community Members

ZANESVILLE, OH – With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, a few local businesses have teamed up to help community members stay healthy.
The Community Bank and Coconis Furniture have teamed up with Licking Memorial Hospital, Genesis Hospital, and Ohio Health to provide free mammograms to community members who may need them the most.
Eric Holsky, the President and CEO of The Community Bank, says these mammograms are for those whose insurance might not cover them or they are unable to receive one because of a lack of insurance.
“I just feel like the cause, you know, it affects so many of us.” Holsky said. “Friends, family, I would challenge anyone to tell me that they don’t know somebody that’s suffered from it at some point in their lives and again the statistics are overwhelming, early detection makes a huge difference.”
For those interested in receiving a mammogram, all you have to do is head online to either The Community Bank’s website or Coconis Furniture to scan the QR code.
Holsky says it means a lot to him to be able to help provide these life saving medical procedures to the community.
“I think it’s great and I think it’s a part of what we need to do as a Community Bank.” Holsky said. “To give back to the communities we serve and that are our customers as well, but I feel like it’s very important to the people that you work with, you live with, you see everyday, to make this opportunity available for them.”
