Local Church Re-enacts Resurrection of Christ

A local church kicked off the holiday weekend by holding a play Friday morning.
CentralTrinity United Methodist Church in Downtown Zanesville re-enacted the resurrection of Jesus Christ Friday morning to help educate young children about the true meaning behind Easter.
"Well a lot of children get the day off from school but they absolutely do not know why. I had several children during the journey ask me where the bunnies were. And they said but I don’t see anything that has to do with Easter here. And we had a chance to tell them the reason we celebrate Easter is because of Jesus," said Lori Wyatt, Secretary Central Trinity United Methodist Church.
Wyatt says the play is a good visual for children because it allows them to take what they have read in the Bible and see it first hand.
