SOUTH ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A South Zanesville doctor’s office is taking delight in spreading joy this holiday season.

When you walk through the door of Parry Kalis, MD on Maysville Road you’re immediately greeted with Christmas decor straight out of a magazine. Giant wreaths covering the walls, a peppermint tree in a corner, and six feet nutcrackers standing guard are just a few of the adornments throughout the lobby. Office Manager Lori Roach says they do it for the patients.

“Oh they love it! Cheers up the old patients. They really love it. They say sometimes it’s better than the stores decorated.”

Roach says Doctor Kalis, his wife, and two daughters decorate the office each year. She says the whole office joins in on the fun embracing the season cheer.

“We have our annual Christmas party for the employees, but we also usually give out apples to our patients. Usually the last couple of weeks of the year. And we kind of dress attire and have some music playing in the background.”

The office also has a caroling family that sings to patients. Plus a full nativity scene in the lobby that lights up and can be seen from the road at night.
