Local Food Trucks Are Becoming the Next Big Thing

Local Food Truck

Food trucks have become popular in the Muskingum County area.

We spoke to local Army Veteran John Harper the Chef for Pucky’s Pit stop located in Duncan Falls. He’s been in the food truck business with his wife for about a month and he said he wants to see more food trucks come to the area.

“Yeah, I hope there are more food trucks to come because, I think it’s kind of neat. People like food trucks, they like that nostalgia type of thing where they can go and get fresh food. Yes it does take a little longer, it’s not fast food where you can just run through real quick and pick it up. You may have to wait a little while but, you’re going to get something that’s really good and tasty and that’s what is good about food trucks,” said Harper.

Harper said having food trucks in Duncan Falls brings a sense of diversity to the community.

“Well I think more food trucks brings more people out. Zanesville needs to get together something for people to do. Have some sort of a special day, a food truck day or something where all of the food trucks comes in town and everyone gets to go down the line and get as more as they can before they go home.

Pucky’s Pit Stop can be found at different locations around town, you can follow their Facebook page to find out were the next stop is.
