Local Music Club Hosts Junior Music Festival
ZANESVILLE, OH – A local music club is gearing up to host a music festival this weekend.
The Thursday Music Club will be presenting the Junior Music Festival performed by members of their Junior Music Club.
Crystal Engle, the Vice President of the Thursday Music Club, talked about some of the different performances that you’ll hear this weekend.
“We will have children from kindergarten through 8th grade that come and perform for us,” Engle said. “We have piano, we have voice, we have any kind of instrument they’re taking lessons on that they’re welcome to perform.”
Engle said this event will be a great experience for the kids.
“It is very important to the kids because it gives them the opportunity to perform in a venue they normally would not have the opportunity to perform in,” Engle said. “It’s wonderful for the rest of the community too, because you can see there is a lot of talent in Muskingum County.”
The Recital is this Sunday at 3PM in Elson Hall on the Ohio University Zanesville Campus. It is free and open to the public and there will be refreshment to follow.
