Zanesville, Ohio- A local organization is opening their doors to showcase what they’ve been working on for the last 5 years.

The Zane Trace National Model Railroad Club is officially hosting their 2-day open house!

“Open house is just the chance for us to showcase the layout and let everybody come up and see it. Sometimes we get new members from everybody just coming up and looking at it,” said President, Brian Harrier.

The train set is about five hundred and fifty feet long, and has taken about 5 years to create.

“I’d say the bridge is about the most detailed. They have to look good and they also have to be reliable with running the trains through them. just kind of making sure their perfect so the trains aren’t snagging them or derailing,” said Harrier.

The Zane Trace National Model Railroad club is open every Tuesday night for information regarding membership.
