Local Projects Receive State Funds

Republican State Senator Troy Balderson, of Zanesville, announced the $2.6B capital budget will support projects in his district.

Included in the budget is $4m for colleges and universities for facility improvements and workforce initiatives.

The MVHC in Cambridge was awarded $750,000, while $700,000 went to The Wilds for the renovation of the main overlook facility.

Zanesville Performing Arts Theatre will see $250,000 and $400,000 will be released for the Buckeye Lake Feeder Channel Restoration to improve the lake’s water quality.

The Ohio General Assembly approves a capital budget every two years with the goal of funding needed improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, roads and bridges, waterways and parks.
