Local Residents React to Healthcare Bill
Despite the passage of the healthcare bill, local residents still aren’t seeing eye-to-eye over the issue, and it’s prompting people to speak out.
"There’s an awful lot of people that don’t have the healthcare coverage, and now-supposedly if all the kinks get worked out in it-it’ll be a good thing, " says Zanesville resident Kenny Weber.
"I understand that people need to take care of their health and they have a responsibility to their body, self, and family, but being forced on them by the government, I feel like that’s overstepping the boundaries, " says Newark resident Nancy Baker.
President Obama is expected to sign the bill into law sometime tomorrow.
The Senate is now discussing additional changes to that bill. It’s part of what Congress is calling the Reconciliation-Bill.
