Local Retailer Celebrates ‘Free Comic Book Day’
A day that some comic book retailers claim to be better than black friday happened Saturday.
Store Owner Chad Sinnott, who opened the comic book business almost 1 year ago, said ‘Free Comic Book Day’ is a world-wide celebration of comic books that many retailers participate in each year.
"Each comic shop around the world is eligible to order free comic books to give out to customers as they come in. Most stores pro-limit a couple per person we here at mass media store are doing two for person and 4 for customers that get their books with us every week," said Sinnott.
Sinnott said on top of the ‘Free Comic Book Day’ hand outs and specials, they also had some very interesting visitors.
"Colt Gross, is publishing a novel and this is his actual debut day for actually releasing a novel. Robert Wiggins out front does spray paint art and is doing a magnificent job," said Sinnott. "We also have a group of fellas out front that are actually publishing their own graphing novel."
Sinnott said it has been a marvelous first year and can’t wait to continue in this tradition for many years to come.
