Local Tavern Hands out Meals to those in Need

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local Tavern got in on the giving spirit this Thanksgiving.

Sharon Tavern handed out meals consisting of half chickens, greens, mac n cheese, and a dessert. Veronica Attchley, the Part Owner of Sharon’s Tavern, said they just wanted to help out the community.

“This is just to help anybody in need,” Attchley said. “My son said it was laying on his heart and his friends hearts to just feed anybody in the community. We’re just thankful God has brought us together to put this on for Zanesville.”

Attchley said this is the first year they have done something like this and are already planning for next year.

“We’re going to see how the turn out is for this year, but even if there’s not a good turn out we’ll be doing this again next year, Attchley said. “I just hope everyone is thankful and grateful for just waking up to see the day.”

Sharon Tavern is located at 1313 Sharon Ave. in Zanesville.
