Louise Noel

Louise Noel

Louise Eileen Noel, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born on July 22, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of James and Frances Switzer Glosser. As the oldest of 12 children, Louise naturally stepped into the role of a nurturer early in life; a quality that would come to define the warm, generous person she was to everyone around her.

Louise dedicated her life to caring for others as a devoted homemaker and caretaker. She was a truly kind and gentle soul, always opening her heart and home to take in and help anyone in need. Her warmth was like a comforting hug on a cold day, and her gentle breeze of humor could brighten any moment with laughter. Yet, alongside her gentleness, she possessed a fiery spark that lit up every room she entered.

She enjoyed word searches and knitting and was a great gardener. She was an amazing cook and baker and was well known for her homemade bread and milk gravy.

Louise’s legacy of love lives on through her devoted family. She is survived by many of her dear brothers and sisters: Larry Nelson, Terry Glosser, Leonard Glosser, James Glosser, Marsha Elson and Marie (Bill) Albaugh; her children: Alice (Jeff) Hunt, Connie (Gary King) Kimble, Johnna Newton, John Noel Jr., Renee (John) Long, Matthew (Chelsea Keiffer) Kimble and Michael (Melinda) Glosser; as well as her many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John H. Noel Sr.; three brothers: George Glosser, Gary Glosser and Dan Glosser; and a sister Gwendylon E. Glosser.

In accordance with Louise’s explicit wishes, there will be no public calling hours.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM, Monday, July 27, 2026, in Williams Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Rings officiating. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OHIO has the distinct honor of serving the Noel family.
