Lowe’s Bargain Barn Furniture celebrates the new Sealy Sleep Gallery opening

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local family-owned furniture store celebrated a new expansion with a ribbon-cutting in South Zanesville.

Lowe’s Bargain Barn Furniture was joined the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce to mark the opening of their new Sealy Sleep Gallery. The furniture store located on Maysville Pike now offers Sealy mattresses as part of its lineup that focuses on local support.

“Sealy Posturpedic is an Ohio company. So this product is made here and we like to support local state-wide products, industries if we can. So that’s an important point I want to bring up,” said Paul Lowe.

Paul and his son, Ben Lowe, own and operate Lowe’s Bargain Barn Furniture and the father-and-son duo are excited to see the business expand. Ben sees the expansion as a means to cement the business as it prepares for the fourth generation.

“So with a lot of generational businesses, you see a lot of ebbs and flows in the economy, obviously,” Ben said. “There’s more businesses going out then are staying in, so for us to be in a third generation and still be relevant in this community and in the Ohio area, and hopefully my kids taking on, maybe, that fourth generation is really exciting for our family as we try to expand a little. Year-by-year, to try and not get ahead of ourselves but also we want to stay relevant. So it’s exciting to continue that growth.”
