Mabel J. Dodd, 97, Market Street, Philo, passed away 8:30 am on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Willow Haven Care Center, Zanesville.

Mabel was born in Hotchkiss, CO, March 15, 1914 the daughter of the late Griff and Violet (Valentine) Russell. She was a 75 year member of the Carlwick Grange and a member of the Blue Rock Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons Richard L.(Thelma) Dodd of Zanesville and Willard (Barbara) Dodd of Zanesville; one sister Irene Eppley of Zanesville; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter. Serveral nieces, nephews, friends and care givers at the Willow Haven Care Center and Genesis Hospice.

In addition to her parents, Mabel is preceded in death by her husband Carl L. Dodd who passed away April 22, 1987; three brothers George, Pearl, and Earl Russell and one granddaughter.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 2 pm Monday. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
